Grounding Technology in the LEADERS Framework™

As we navigate this "brave new world" of AI, we need a compass. I developed the LEADERS Framework™ specifically to help clinicians and leaders maintain their footing. When we apply AI, we must still:

  • Listen to the patient (not just the data).

  • Evaluate the source and the bias.

  • Analyze the clinical context.

  • Decide with compassion and evidence.

  • Educate the team on why we are using the tool.

  • Review the outcomes regularly.

  • Support the human beings at the center of care.

AI shouldn't be the pilot of the ship; it should be the radar. It helps us see what might be hidden, but the nurse: with their years of training, their ethical grounding, and their clinical intuition: must always be the one at the helm.
